As we start reactivating more (young) professionals, you can also expect to see more of them join your network and like your jobs. By liking your jobs they train their algorithm to see more similar jobs and they trigger reminders to apply for these vacancies. By connecting they see more matching jobs from your company in their email and on Magnet.me. This is why you aren’t disappointing job seekers if you don’t send them a message after a like or a connection; these features add a lot of value for job seekers regardless of receiving a message.
Optionally however, you can absolutely also approach your likes and connections for even more results; since you only approach warm candidates, results are better and your messages aren’t perceived as spam. If you have harder to fill roles or are looking for more quality or specific applications (in order to meet e.g. DEI targets), reaching out to likes and connections can be very powerful. In that light, make sure to invite recruiters that are responsible for (young) professional hiring, who don’t have a Magnet.me profile yet!
If you choose to approach candidates, it is important to approach these new connections or likes as soon as possible, as these are job seekers who have shown interest in your company and this can yield up to 10 times more results. Please do note that it is not possible to approach a connection without selecting a vacancy.
A tip for keeping your likes organised is to manually archive those that are no longer relevant or move them to Applications if they have already applied to you through another route. This will help you maintain an overview of new likes.
The ‘Messages’ option at the top of the white bar directs you to the message center of Magnet.me, which provides an overview of all conversations with job seekers.
Initially, you only see your own messages. By clicking on ‘Your conversations’, you can also switch to messages from your colleagues. Next to the search bar, you will see some filters through which you can easily filter the messages.
Tip! To keep an overview, you can close finished conversations by clicking on ‘close conversation’. The conversation will then be moved to messages with a closed status.
To take work off your hands, we can send relevant profiles a message on your behalf through ‘Outsourced messaging’ credit. You can easily request ‘Outsourced messaging’ yourself. This is how it works:
Outsourced messaging
To take work off your hands, we can use an ‘Outsourced messaging’ credit to send relevant profiles a message on your behalf.
You can easily request ‘Outsourced messaging’ yourself as follows:
Please fill in the form as completely as possible so that we have a good understanding of the job seeker you are looking for. Once you have completed the form, you will receive a confirmation via email later that day. Please note that we have a three-day turnaround time between receiving the request and the desired date on which you would like to send the messages.
After we have sent the messages on your behalf to relevant job seekers on the desired date, you will receive a confirmation email that the messages have been sent.
Tip! Keep an eye on Magnet.me in the days following as it is likely that job seekers will have questions or indicate that they want to apply. You can find these messages in the message center.
Note: when a message is sent through outsourced messaging, the name of the main contact person appears under the message and the message is sent from the main contact person’s profile. If this is not desired, you can change the contact person in the Google forms.
